Hi all,
I would like to announce Irelands First Ever Philip Lynott of Thin Lizzy Art & Photographic Exhibition to be held at The Riverside Gallery in the Bridgewater Shopping Centre Arklow, Co. Wicklow.
From Monday April 27th to Friday May 8th 2009. Admission is Free! Donations will be accepted.
(We made The Irish Independent on Monday April 6th edition in both issues on pages 9 and 32 after a promo photo shoot on Sat April 4th.) Many thanks to Philomena and all the artists who showed up that day.
Philomena has given me her approval for this event.
We also hope to have Mr. Jim Fitzpatrick as our special guest. To Be Confirmed.
The event will be advertised Nationally and Flyers will be handed out at all Tribute and Thin Lizzy events in Ireland.
Impressions of Philip from various artists will be on show for sale and display purposes only, also photographs of Thin Lizzy from early 1970's to 1980's.
Artwork for sale will have 50% of proceeds to charity and 50% to artist.
The Gallery is Arklow newest and modern visual display area overlooking the river Avoca and Arklow town.
Charities for 2009 are The Sri Lankan Orphanage Appeal, Arklow Drugs Awareness and The Roisin Dubh Trust.
Upto a dozen or more artists are involved, varying from caricaturists to cartoonists. from the National Press, The Beano, Walt Disney also local artists, Thin Lizzy fanatics etc..

Kicking off the night with Keith Grogan (Dublin)on acoustic guitar, followed by Irelands own Jimi Hendrix, The Brian Meakin Experience then we have HUSH from Arklow and back by popular demand Avalanche (Arklow), with some surprises on the night and ending the night with the fabulous RENEGADE from Navan.
