Friends of Philo are proud to present their fourth tribute on this very special 25th Anniversary year remembering Philip P. Lynott.
Whisky in the Jar'O, shall be held in the Arklow Bay Hotel on Friday May 13th 9pm sharp until 2am with 5 acts.

Friends of Philo, Traditional Irish Band and acoustic music, featuring Bernard Fox & Ruairi Kelly - Arklow ( formely Avalanche preformed 2008 & 2009 tributes) , Martin Gallagher - Dublin ( Tin Whistle & Saxophone, who preformed in 2008 ), Mary Weadick - Arklow ( FOP committee member playing Bohran ), Lindsay ( FOP Chief artist / Fiddle player) & Taz Wright ( Drums / Bohran ) Horsham, West Sussex, UK.
Teen LIZZY - Bray, Co. Wicklow featuring Daragh Keys who 12 years ago preformed at the Vibe at the age of 6 singing to Renegade.
Feel the Pinch - Arklow, Co. Wicklow playing together for at least 25yrs middle of the road rock classics, The Police,Moot the Hoople, Van Morrison,Rory Gallagher, GN'R, AC/DC, Thin Lizzy,Doobie Brothers,The Eagles, Tom Petty,Steve Earle,Neil Young and many more.......
FTP preformed over 12 years ago for the Statue fund organised by Declan Hayes in then the Tunnel Niteclub, Ostean Beag, Arklow.
I Can't Believe it's NOT LIZZY! - Dublin featuring Keith Grogan (who preformed in 2009 and opened up the 1st ever Photographic & Art Exhibition on Philip Lynott) & John Nesbitt ( who preformed at 24th Vibe in the Button Factory as a duet then supporting Yellow Pearl - Norway)
The boys are now a 5 piece band and have at least 50 Lizzy songs under their belts, so who knows what they will play on the night!!
As always Philomena Lynott shall be our guest of honour.

The charities for 2011 as follows:
The Irish Seal Sanctuary formely from Finglas but now re-homed at Forest Park, Courtown, Co. Wexford ( Seal release covered by Hotpress on Feb 24th Issue, Philomena Lynott, Jim Fitzpatrick & FOP were guests)
The Wicklow Society for the Prevention of Cruetly to Animals based at Sharpeshill, Rathdrum, Co. Wicklow who cater for 40 dogs, 40 cats, horses, donkeys, goats (Non of these animals are put to sleep, all re-housed eventually)
The Roisin Dubh Trust C/o Philomena Lynott who hopes to set up a museum to house all of Philips possesions. Thanks to Hotpress and few dedicated individuals The Philip Lynott Exhibition has happened and will be open from March 4th - April 3rd.Top floor of St. Stephens Green shopping centre Dublin top of Grafton St. Tickets from Ticketmaster. This is the first step towards Philomena's goal. Please visit and be amazed!!
